tabletThis month, the Bible Lands Museum in Jerusalem is displaying a rare 4,000-year-old cuneiform tablet that in over six hundred and thirty lines, registers the rites performed in the temples during the Hebrew month of Shabatu. The large cuneiform tablet is prominently displayed in the heart of the Museum's Gallery of the Patriarchs and reveals the roots of the Hebrew calendar, whose origins stem from Ancient Babylon. It is the only known example of a text recording the daily routine followed in the temples of the capital city of Larsa, which neighbored Ur in ancient Mesopotamia.

Testimonials from our Travelers

Sara,

I wish to let you know how much Beth and I enjoyed our recent tour of Israel and Jordan.  We enjoyed the Biblical itinerary and the expertise of our guide, Kobi,  who is superior to any guide we have had (including 3 European "Rick Steves") tours with guides.  The comprehensive itinerary, the quality of the hotels, food, bus and driver all helped contribute to an unforgetable  experience of a lifetime.   Jerusalem Tour's attention to detail really stood out in a positive way.  We had very few additional expenses during the entire trip and that is noteworthy.

The pairing and reading  of scripture by tour members and by Kobe  with the places we visited in Israel, and Jordan were quite  impactful and help us to have even a stronger faith in Jesus and a fresh perspective and admiration for Israel and Jordan and its citizens.

Thanks for a great life experience.

Blessings,
Bob and Beth Lockwood
